Dr Kunjang Sherpa elected Vice-chair of Nepal Medical Council



KATHMANDU: Dr Kunjang Sherpa has been elected vice-chair of the Nepal Medical Council.

According to the vote count completed on Tuesday, Dr Sherpa defeated Dr Guru Sharan Sah to secure the vice-chair position in the recently concluded council election.

Eight candidates have also been elected as members of the council. They are Dr Chhabilal Panthi, Dr Sarika Goit, Dr Dipendra Pandey and Dr Yuvin Kumar Yadav.

Similarly, Dr Asmita Pokharel, Dr Samrat Parajuli, Dr Nina Rai and Dr Rabin Basnet have also been elected as members.

A total of 11,922 votes were cast in the Nepal Medical Council election.
