NRB releases Tuesday’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today, showing an increase in the value of the US dollar. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.67, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.27.

The buying rate for one European euro has been fixed at Rs 169.00 and the selling rate at Rs 169.70. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.88 and sold at Rs 194.69, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.70 and a selling rate of Rs 182.46.

Similarly, Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of the Australian dollar at Rs 96.24 and the selling rate at Rs 96.64. The Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 104.92 and sold at Rs 105.36, while the Singapore dollar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 111.77 and Rs 112.23, respectively.

According to the bank, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.19 and the selling rate is Rs 9.23. The Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.51 and sold at Rs 20.59. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.30 and a selling rate of Rs 38.46, while the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 39.41 for buying and Rs 39.58 for selling.

The buying rate of one Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.57 and the selling rate at Rs 4.59. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.12 and sold at Rs 39.28, while the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 35.39 and a selling rate of Rs 35.53. The buying rate for 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 10.10 and the selling rate at Rs 10.04. Similarly, one Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.65 and sold at Rs 15.71, while the Danish kroner has a buying rate of Rs 22.63 and a selling rate of Rs 22.73.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.48 and the selling rate at Rs 18.56. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 467.10 and sold at Rs 469.05, while the Bahraini dinar has been set at Rs 380.99 for buying and Rs 382.58 for selling. Likewise, the Omani riyal is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 373.17 and a selling rate of Rs 374.73. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
