Earthquake shakes Bajhang and Bajura



BAJURA: An earthquake with its epicenter in Saipal, Bajhang, occurred at 12:09 p.m. today (Sunday).

According to the Surkhet Seismological Center, the quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale and was centered in the Saipal Himal region of neighboring Bajhang district.

The tremor was also felt in Bajura, shaking the district and causing panic among locals. Fear has spread across Bajura and Bajhang, including other areas of the earthquake-prone Sudurpaschim Province.

Following the tremors, the District Administration Office, Bajura, issued a warning urging residents to remain cautious. The administration advised local citizens to stay alert and take necessary precautions, noting that natural disasters can strike without warning.
