RSP and Bibeksheel Sajha announcing merger today



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Bibeksheel Sajha are formally announcing their party unity today.

According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, a unity declaration program will be held this afternoon at the Rastriya Sabha hall, BHrikutimandap in Kathmandu.

The RSP stated that both parties, which share a commitment to good governance and reform, have agreed to merge. Bibeksheel Sajha has decided to accept the RSP’s name, leadership, and election symbol, opting for unconditional unification.

The Bibeksheel movement began in 2069 BS under the leadership of late Ujjwal Thapa, forming the Bibeksheel Nepali Dal in 2070 BS to contest elections. The Rastriya Swatantra Party, meanwhile, was established in 2022.
