Unseasonal rain blocks road section in Daunne



NAWALPUR: Traffic movement along the Narayangadh–Butwal section of the East-West Highway has been disrupted due to unseasonal rainfall.

According to District Police Office spokesperson Madhu Nepal, heavy rain since early Thursday morning has blocked the Daunne stretch of the highway, particularly near Bishwakarma Temple and Ghyukhola in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2.

“The road has become muddy and slippery due to continuous rainfall, preventing vehicles from moving westward,” said Nepal. Police personnel have been deployed in the area to manage traffic congestion as freight vehicles are unable to ascend the steep Daunne slope.
