Power supply from Chilime Hydropower halted due to transmission line issue



KATHMANDU: Electricity supply from the Chilime Hydropower Plant has been temporarily suspended following a problem in the national transmission line.

The disruption affected areas around Gram, Kalika Rural Municipality–1, forcing the plant to halt power generation.

According to officials from the Chilime Hydropower Plant, technicians have already been dispatched from Kathmandu to Rasuwa to repair the transmission tower. The plant aims to resume operations by this evening once maintenance is completed.

Authorities have assured residents that the restoration work is underway and power supply will be restored as soon as possible.
