Nepal Rastra Bank announces today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. As per the central bank, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is Rs 138.61, while the selling rate is Rs 139.21.

For the Euro, the buying rate stands at Rs 160.28 and the selling rate at Rs 160.98. The UK Pound is being bought at Rs 185 and sold at Rs 185.80, whereas the Swiss Franc is set at Rs 172.15 (buying) and Rs 172.90 (selling).

The Australian dollar is trading at Rs 90.20 for buying and Rs 90.59 for selling. Similarly, the Canadian dollar is at Rs 100.77 (buying) and Rs 101.21 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 107.63 and Rs 108.10, respectively.

For other major currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being bought for Rs 9.33 and sold for Rs 9.37, while 1 Chinese yuan is at Rs 19.32 (buying) and Rs 19.40 (selling). The Saudi riyal is set at Rs 36.95 and Rs 37.11, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.03 and Rs 38.19, respectively.

The Thai baht is trading at Rs 4.27 (buying) and Rs 4.29 (selling), and the UAE dirham at Rs 37.74 and Rs 37.90. The Malaysian ringgit is quoted at Rs 32.73 (buying) and Rs 32.88 (selling).

One hundred South Korean won fetches Rs 9.96 for buying and Rs 10.03 for selling. The Swedish kronor is at Rs 14.38 and Rs 14.44, while the Danish kronor is trading at Rs 21.48 and Rs 21.57.

The Hong Kong dollar stands at Rs 17.66 (buying) and Rs 17.73 (selling). High-value currencies such as the Kuwaiti dinar are listed at Rs 453.70 and Rs 455.66, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 367.68 and Rs 369.27, and the Omani rial at Rs 360.02 and Rs 361.58.

Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees are being exchanged at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

NRB noted that these rates are subject to change and may be revised as needed. The actual rates offered by commercial banks might vary, with the most recent updates available on the NRB’s official website.
