Nepali Congress holds first Central Committee Meeting in 10 months

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition partner Nepali Congress has convened a meeting of its Central Working Committee after a gap of 10 months.

The meeting began on Monday at the party’s central office in Sanepa.

The party has set six key agendas for discussion during the meeting, which is the first regular session of the central committee since the one held from August 7, 2024  – September 1, 2024.

That previous meeting had approved, with amendments, all proposals presented at the party’s Mahasamiti meeting held in Godavari, Lalitpur from February 19 to 22, 2024.

In the interim, the Nepali Congress had held a few emergency meetings of the central committee, but they were mostly limited to passing condolence motions.
