Nepal Rastra Bank announces today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates for today (Monday).

The value of some currencies, including the US dollar, remains stable. Meanwhile, currencies such as the Australian dollar and the British pound have slightly depreciated, whereas the euro, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have gained in value.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar today is NPR 136.47, and the selling rate is NPR 137.07. These rates are the same as yesterday’s.

The euro is being traded today at a buying rate of NPR 159.94 and a selling rate of NPR 160.65. Yesterday, the euro was traded at NPR 159.90 for buying and NPR 160.60 for selling.

Similarly, the British pound is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 187.18 and a selling rate of NPR 188.00. Yesterday, the pound’s buying rate was NPR 187.39, and the selling rate was NPR 188.22.

The Australian dollar today is being exchanged at a buying rate of NPR 89.12 and a selling rate of NPR 89.51. This marks a slight drop from yesterday’s buying and selling rates of NPR 89.20 and NPR 89.60, respectively.

The Kuwaiti dinar has appreciated slightly, with today’s buying rate at NPR 447.00 and the selling rate at NPR 448.97, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 446.22 and NPR 448.28.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar is being exchanged today at a buying rate of NPR 361.85 and a selling rate of NPR 363.44. Yesterday, the rates stood at NPR 361.75 for buying and NPR 363.34 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed.

It also noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the most recent updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
