Kavre tunnel project gets priority in fiscal year 2025/26 budget



KAVREPALANCHOWK: Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has announced that the tunnel project in Kavrepalanchowk will be prioritized in the fiscal year 2025/26.

Presenting the annual budget during a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Thursday, Paudel stated that budget allocations have been made for national pride projects as well as other key projects in Kavrepalanchowk.

According to the budget, a feasibility study will be conducted for a proposed tunnel connecting Dolalghat in Bhumlu Rural Municipality-8 of Kavrepalanchowk to Charnawati in Shailung Rural Municipality-7 of Dolakha.

The Finance Minister confirmed that this study would be completed within the fiscal year.

The budget further states that priority has been given to long-term and significant projects already initiated in the district.

In addition, the statement mentions that printing operations will commence at the security printing center in Kavrepalanchowk following the completion of its infrastructure development.
