SC’s detention letter for Resham Chaudhary not found in office records

KATHMANDU: The letter issued by the Supreme Court (SC) ordering the detention of Resham Chaudhary has reportedly gone missing and cannot be found in any of the Court’s offices.

According to sources, a meeting of Supreme Court staff is currently underway after a search for the letter across various branches yielded no results.

“We have multiple departments, and we are still searching for the whereabouts of that letter. We’re trying to determine where it was dispatched from, but it hasn’t been located yet,” Supreme Court Information Officer Nirajan Pandey told Khabarhub.

“Senior officials are also involved in the meeting, and the search is ongoing.”

Police sources have claimed that the letter revoking the amnesty granted to Resham Chaudhary was signed and dispatched by case officer Mahiman Singh Bista.

If the document is not found within the office, it is likely that Resham Chaudhary could be released today.
