No system can replace republicanism: Prachanda



KANCHANPUR: Chairman of the Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the martyrs, declaring that the republican system achieved through their sacrifices has no alternative.

Speaking at Matiyabasti in Punarbas Municipality during the Maoist Tarai-Madhes Awakening Campaign, Dahal emphasized that the party’s Postal Highway-centered movement is dedicated to the people.

He announced that the “One Martyr, One Employment” program would be launched today as part of an event honoring families of martyrs.

Dahal stated that he and his party remain firmly committed to their duties towards the families of martyrs and those who went missing during the conflict.

Reiterating the party’s dedication to the path shown by the martyrs, he said their family members have been given special recognition and respect within the party structure.

Highlighting that the republican system was established through the sacrifices of countless citizens, Chairman Dahal asserted, “There can be no other system of governance as an alternative to the republic.”

On the occasion, Dahal honored the families of martyrs by draping them with a shawl in a symbolic gesture of respect.

In addition to the campaign, Dahal also inaugurated a drinking water project in Rampur, Belauri Municipality, and inspected Shobhatal, a local tourist destination.

Earlier today, Dahal met with the families of martyrs and missing persons at the Shobhatal premises in Punarbas Municipality-5. During the meeting, he vowed to uphold the martyrs’ legacy by advancing the cause of justice, dignity, and equality.
