Gold prices reach record high today

KATHMANDU: Gold prices hit a new record in the local market on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

Gold, which was trading at Rs 176,200 per tola on Friday, rose by Rs 600 to Rs 176,800 per tola today, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.

The Federation also noted a slight decline in the price of silver on Sunday.

Silver, which was priced at Rs 2,040 per tola on Friday, dropped by Rs 15 and is currently being traded at Rs 2,025 per tola.
