The conference, taking place at the Nepali Congress Central Office, BP Smriti Bhawan in Lalitpur, is designed to encourage new entrepreneurs and small businesses, as well as promote the growth of local enterprises, according to the organizers.

National Planning Commission seeks proposals for grants

The National Planning Commission (NPC) has invited proposals for projects and programs to be implemented under the federal supplementary and special grants for the upcoming fiscal year 2082-83 BS.

In a circular to provincial and local levels, the commission has requested detailed proposals, to be submitted by the Nepali date of Falgun 15, to receive grants under these programs.

Creating employment through entrepreneurship essential: Deuba

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the importance of fostering local entrepreneurship to drive self-reliance and employment.

Only 102 companies eligible for loans by pledging shares

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has released a list of 102 companies eligible for loans through share pledging.

These companies meet the criteria outlined in Section 8 of Chapter 3 of the Margin Trading Facilities Procedure, 2075 BS, which governs the share collateral facility.

Gold price rises

Gold prices have risen in the local market on Wednesday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of printed gold increased by Rs. 1,400 per tola compared to Tuesday, and was traded at Rs. 160,600 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver increased by Rs. 20, traded at Rs. 1,855 per tola, up from Rs. 1,835 on Tuesday.
