Dr. Rudra Marasini appointed as Chief Medical Superintendent of National Trauma Center



KATHMANDU: Dr. Rudra Marasini has been officially appointed as the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the National Trauma Center. Health and Population Minister Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam confirmed the appointment on Sunday through a ministerial decision, assigning the 11th-level officer to the position.

Dr. Badri Rijal, the former CMS, had stepped down after deciding to contest in the upcoming Nepal Medical Association elections. Following Rijal’s departure, Dr. Marasini had been serving as the acting CMS.

During his tenure as acting chief, Marasini successfully maintained hospital management and service continuity. The Ministry stated that his appointment formalizes the responsibilities he has been fulfilling.

Dr. Marasini assumed office at the Trauma Center immediately following the ministerial decision on Sunday.
