Sudurpaschim Royals enter NPL playoffs with perfect record



KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Royals have become the first team to reach the playoffs of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), maintaining a perfect winning record in all five matches played so far.

On Saturday, Sudurpaschim defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts and secured their spot in the playoffs with two league matches still remaining.

In the match held at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Janakpur won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 145 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing a target of 146, Sudurpaschim reached the total with four wickets down and 14 balls to spare.
