Lumbini Lions clinch second win of NPL Season 2 with 3-wicket victory over Pokhara



KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions registered their second win of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, defeating Pokhara Avengers by three wickets on Saturday at the TU International Cricket Ground.

Earlier, Pokhara posted 150 runs after a brilliant fifth-wicket partnership between Adam Rossington and Jimmy Neesham. Rossington hammered 81 off 63 balls with seven fours and five sixes, while Neesham remained unbeaten on 51 off 32 deliveries. The duo added 92 runs to lift Pokhara from early trouble. Sher Malla and Tilak Bhandari took two wickets each for Lumbini, with Gulbadin Naib adding one.

Chasing 151, Lumbini held their nerve to cross the target with three wickets in hand, securing their second win of the tournament and strengthening their position in the league standings.
