KATHMANDU: Former Nepali Congress lawmaker Mohammad Aftab Alam is receiving treatment at Kathmandu Medical College (KMC). Hospital sources said he has been placed on a ventilator.
His condition is serious. He was admitted a few days ago after developing heart complications.
Earlier, in Jestha, shortly after his release from Nakhu prison, Alam had suffered a brain stroke and received treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maiti Ghar.
Alam had been accused of setting blast victims on fire at a brick kiln during election preparations in 2064 BS. The Rautahat District Court had convicted him and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
