Durga Prasai announces nationwide peaceful movement from November 23

KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, coordinator of the “National Campaign to Save Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens”, has announced a nationwide movement starting from November 23.

Speaking to the media after a discussion with officials of the National Human Rights Commission on Wednesday, Prasai clarified that the movement will be non-violent and will take place across the country, from Mechi in the east to Mahakali in the west.

He cited the 12-point agreement reached between political parties and Maoists in Delhi on November 23 as a reason for the country’s current challenging situation, explaining that the movement aims to address these issues.

Prasai highlighted that the campaign will not hold anyone accountable for violations during the protest. He also distanced his movement from the Gen-Z protests, asserting that his campaign will not be hijacked for foreign-directed political agendas.
