MUSTANG: Domestic tourists visiting Mustang were affected by continuous snowfall, prompting the Armed Police Force (APF) to step in and provide medical assistance.
From early Wednesday morning, an APF team operated a health camp at the entrance of Muktinath Temple, where around 250 tourists received health checkups and medicines, informed APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa.
The health camp was organized by APF Nepal, Team No. 33, Gulmi. Due to heavy snowfall and sudden drop in temperature, many tourists experienced headaches, dizziness, and breathing difficulties. The team provided basic primary treatment for these issues.
Meanwhile, the APF cleared snow along the route to Muktinath Temple and within the temple premises, ensuring easier access for visitors. The snow removal operation facilitated smoother movement for tourists and safer access to the temple.
