KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one U.S. dollar has been set at Rs 140.93 and the selling rate at Rs 141.53.
Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one European euro have been fixed at Rs 164.27 and Rs 164.97, respectively. For the British pound sterling, the rates stand at Rs 187.54 for buying and Rs 188.34 for selling. The Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 177.38 (buying) and Rs 178.14 (selling).
The Australian dollar has been valued at Rs 92.40 for buying and Rs 92.79 for selling, while the Canadian dollar is fixed at Rs 100.68 and Rs 101.11, respectively. The Singapore dollar stands at Rs 108.82 for buying and Rs 109.29 for selling.
According to the NRB, 10 Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.27 and sold at Rs 9.31, while one Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 19.85 for buying and Rs 19.93 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 37.58 (buying) and Rs 37.74 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.66 and Rs 38.83, respectively.
The Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.34 for buying and Rs 4.36 for selling, while the UAE dirham stands at Rs 38.37 and Rs 38.53. The Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 33.57 (buying) and Rs 33.72 (selling), and 100 South Korean won are being exchanged at Rs 9.81 and Rs 9.86.
Likewise, the Swedish krona is priced at Rs 15.03 (buying) and Rs 15.09 (selling), while the Danish krone is fixed at Rs 21.99 and Rs 22.09.
The NRB has set the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.14 and Rs 18.22, respectively. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 459.70 for buying and Rs 461.66 for selling; the Bahraini dinar at Rs 373.84 and Rs 375.44; and the Omani rial at Rs 366.04 and Rs 367.60.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
According to the central bank, these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed. The rates set by commercial banks may vary slightly, and the latest figures are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
