Youth hold the key to Nepal’s prosperity: Former King Gyanendra

KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that the younger generation is the cornerstone of the nation’s future, and it is their patriotic spirit, energy, and innovative thinking that will guide the country toward strength, prosperity, and self-reliance.

Extending his best wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity to all Nepalis on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami, he also announced that he will not be distributing Tika and Jamara on a large scale this year, unlike in the past.

The former king emphasized that the sacrifices made by Nepal’s ancestors to safeguard the country’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty form the foundation of its existence, self-respect, and rich cultural heritage.
