NRB publishes Friday’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is NPR 139.91, while the selling rate is NPR 140.51.

For the euro, the buying rate is NPR 163.25 and the selling rate is NPR 163.95. One UK pound sterling is being bought at NPR 189.14 and sold at NPR 189.96. Similarly, the buying rate for one Swiss franc stands at NPR 174.88, and the selling rate is NPR 175.63.

Among other major currencies, one Australian dollar is being bought at NPR 91.35 and sold at NPR 91.74. The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 101.64 and a selling rate of NPR 102.08. For the Singapore dollar, the buying rate is NPR 109.03 and the selling rate is NPR 109.50.

Similarly, the rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.53 (buying) and NPR 9.57 (selling). One Chinese yuan is being bought at NPR 19.62 and sold at NPR 19.70. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 37.28 and a selling rate of NPR 37.44, while the Qatari riyal is set at NPR 38.38 (buying) and NPR 38.54 (selling).

According to the bank, one Thai baht is bought at NPR 4.33. The UAE dirham is set at NPR 38.09 (buying) and NPR 38.25 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 33.18 for buying and NPR 33.25 for selling. For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is NPR 10.09 and the selling rate is NPR 10.14.

In addition, the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is NPR 17.95 and the selling rate is NPR 18.03. The Kuwaiti dinar is bought at NPR 458.03 and sold at NPR 459.99. The Bahraini dinar is at NPR 371.11 (buying) and NPR 372.71 (selling), while the Omani rial is NPR 363.43 and NPR 364.98 respectively.

Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is set at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has noted that these rates are subject to revision at any time. Exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the most recent updates can be accessed through the Rastra Bank’s official website.
