Water level rises in Bheri River

JAJARKOT: Authorities in Jajarkot have issued a public alert after a noticeable rise in the water level of the Bheri River.

According to the District Administration Office in Jajarkot, the water flow has increased at the Bheri Rim Water Measurement Station located in Rimna, Bheri Municipality–1. The office has urged residents living along the riverbanks to remain vigilant.

Chief District Officer of Jajarkot, Mekh Bahadur Mangrati, said the water level is approaching the danger mark and continues to rise. “We urge people in low-lying and riverside areas to exercise caution and stay alert,” he said.

Similarly, Chief District Officer of Dolpa, Rom Bahadur Mahat, also warned of a gradual rise in the river’s level and requested the public to take necessary precautions.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as continued rainfall in the region could lead to further swelling of the river, raising the risk of floods.
