NEPSE gains over 26 points, trading crosses Rs 7 billion



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a notable surge on Sunday, rising by 26.53 points to close at 2,622.28. This marks a 1.02% gain compared to the previous trading day.

The day’s total turnover stood at Rs 7.12 billion, with over 166.43 million shares traded across 328 companies in 74,752 transactions.

Out of the traded companies, share prices of 185 firms increased, while 63 declined. No company remained unchanged.

Except for the manufacturing and processing subgroup, all other 12 sectoral indices posted gains. The banking subgroup saw the highest increase, up 2%, while the hotel and tourism subgroup had the lowest growth at 0.09%.
