Govt allocates 3.42 billion for corridor road construction in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2025/26, announced an allocation of 3.42 billion rupees for the construction of corridor roads in Kathmandu Valley.

He also stated that 5.36 billion rupees have been set aside for the Intensive Urban Development Program.

Speaking before both houses of the Federal Parliament on Thursday, Minister Poudel revealed plans to build an international-standard exhibition center at Bhrikuti Mandap.

He added that systematic urbanization will be promoted through partnerships with the private sector.

A total of 118 billion rupees has been allocated to the Ministry of Urban Development, the minister said.
