Prime Minister Oli extends Republic Day greetings



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has extended his greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Republic Day.

In a message shared on social media, Prime Minister Oli wrote, “Today marks the day when the people wrote history by ending royal oppression. It is the day when national interest triumphed over the crown, when the self-respect of citizens was upheld by shattering the arrogance of the throne. It is the day when the people, after seven decades of struggle and sacrifice, secured the victory of the republic.”

On the dignified occasion of Republic Day, he added, “My heartfelt greetings to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad. Jai-Jai-Jai Nepal!”

The 18th Republic Day is being celebrated across the country today with various events and programs.
