Finance Minister to unveil fiscal budget 2025/26 today



KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament has announced that the annual budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 will be presented at 3 PM today (Thursday).

Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey released the agenda, confirming that Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will present the annual revenue and expenditure estimates during a joint session of the Federal Parliament.

The agenda states: “Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will present the annual estimate (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2082/083.”

Finance Minister Poudel has been given a budget ceiling of at least Rs 1,965 billion for the upcoming fiscal year by the National Resource Estimates Committee.
