KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to impose a fine of Rs 793,000 on former King Gyanendra Shah.
The fine was levied for damages to public property during a program organized in Tinkune on March 28 (Chaitra 15).
The KMC issued eight separate notices under different charges, specifying varying amounts of fines.
The KMC has fined Rs 600,000 for littering and polluting roads and sidewalks in Koteshwar, Jadibuti, Tinkune, Balkumari, Mahadevsthan, and Sinamangal.
Similarly, the KMC has fined Rs130,000 for damaging a fire truck from the New Road Fire Brigade and Rs 40,000 for breaking trees, plants, and railings in Tinkune.
Likewise, the KMC has impose a fine of Rs 23,000 for damaging the island at Tinkune.
Additionally, the KMC had previously fined the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rs 100,000 for similar offenses during a program welcoming Gyanendra in Kathmandu on March 9 (Falgun 25).
