KATHMANDU: Authorities have intensified their crackdown on pro-monarchy protests that erupted in Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.
Among those arrested are Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leaders, including Rabindra Mishra and Dhawal Shumsher Rana, who played an active role in the demonstrations.
According to Kathmandu Police spokesperson Apilraj Bohara, the number of arrests has climbed to 51 as of Friday morning, with further investigations ongoing.
The Kathmandu Police have warned that anyone involved in what they deem “inhuman, unjust, and illegal activities” will face legal consequences as per the law.
