Education is foundation of development: President Paudel

LAMJUNG: President Ramchandra Paudel has said education is the major foundation of development.

The Head of the State said it while addressing the concluding session of the 60th anniversary of the Mangala Secondary School at Madhyanepal-3 in the district on Wednesday.

Development can not be realized in absence of education, so we need to attach much importance on education, President Paudel reminded.

He underlined the need for managing quality and technical education to forward development activities.

“Compared to the past, Nepal’s villages are now connected to roads and got electricity and communication facilities, thereby receiving a wave of development,” he said, urging all concerned to provide quality education so that youth exodus would be checked.

Creation of jobs within country is equally essential, he added.

If the youth exodus is not checked on time, country would be deserted, the President warned and underlined the need for spurring sociocultural and economic developments on the basis of federal democratic republic.

According to him, the political parties need working in unison, as the collaboration and coordination would help resolve problems facing the country. Unity among all is imperative to clean out corruption and irregularities, he reminded.

On a different note, he shared that he came to the present position with his untiring devotion to integrity and honest politics, for which he attributed to the people from Madhyanepal as well.
