KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City observed Martyrs’ Day today with a wreath-laying ceremony, a memorial service, and a morning procession.
The event was part of the city’s annual Martyrs’ Week, which is commemorated from Magh 10 to 16 with various programs.
A rally was organized from Shanti Batika to the Martyrs’ Memorial early in the morning, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The procession saw the participation of ministers from the Government of Nepal, officials of constitutional bodies, high-ranking government representatives, and members of both the National Assembly and the House of Representatives.
The observance aimed to honor the contributions of the martyrs while reaffirming the nation’s commitment to upholding their legacy.
