NEPSE increases by 25 points

The stock market closed higher on Tuesday. Although yesterday was a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have been declared public holidays, so Tuesday was the last trading day of the week.

On Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 24.50 points to 2,657.77 points.

The NEPSE rose by 0.93 percent, resulting in a transaction worth about 9.5 billion rupees.

Aadhikhola Bridge: Deadline extended three times in seven years

The under-construction bridge at Aadhikhola, connecting Bhirkot Municipality-4 and 5 in Syangja, has not been completed even after almost seven years.

The bridge, connecting Chhangchhangdi of Bhirkot-4 and Chhattiban of Bhirkot-5, has not been completed even though the third extension of the deadline has expired.

The construction of the bridge, which began after an agreement was reached on Asad 26, 2075 BS, was supposed to be completed by Baisakh 30, 2078 BS, but it has not been finished yet, said Deepak Bista, engineer at the Road Division Office, Pokhara.

Chaumala-Khairala Road: Blacktopping 17 years after foundation stone laid

The blacktopping work of the Chaumala-Khairala Road in Kailali has begun 17 years after the foundation stone was laid.

According to the Road Division Office, Mahendranagar, the construction company has started the blacktop work on 900 meters of the road after completing the infrastructure work, including the drain.

A contract agreement was signed for 19.5 million rupees in Baisakh of the last fiscal year 2080-81 to blacktop 900 meters of the road.

According to Chitra Chaulagain, engineer of the Road Division Office, the blacktop work has progressed after completing the infrastructure work, including the drain.

Ban on illegal building construction at Shia Raghunath Sadan

The municipality has banned the illegal construction of buildings on the land of the historic Shia Raghunath Sadan temple in Janakpurdham.

The Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City has directed the immediate halt of construction work, stating that the construction is being carried out illegally on Guthi land without an approved map.

Nepal Merchant Bankers Association and Association of Investment Bankers of India collaborate

Gold prices fall

Gold prices fell in the local market on Tuesday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of printed gold decreased by 900 rupees per tola today compared to Monday.

The price of one tola of printed gold was traded at 159,200 rupees on Tuesday, according to the Federation. The price of the same quantity of gold was traded at 160,100 rupees on Monday.
