‘Road and air connectivity important for tourism in Pokhara’



KASKI: Minister for Energy Kulman Ghising has said that international road and air connectivity is important for the tourism development of Pokhara.

Inaugurating the 27th edition of the Street Festival organized on the eve of the New Year 2026, Minister Ghising stated that the government has accorded priority for the beginning of the international flights from Pokhara International Airport.

“Road network upto Korola border point and international flights from Pokhara International Airport should be happened for the tourism development of Pokhara,” Minister Ghising added.

“The government has given priority to air connectivity. This is a geopolitical issue as well. The upcoming government should address this with top priority. Running an airport in a tourist city will contribute immensely to the tourism industry here,” Minister Ghising stated.

Organized by the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara, the Street Festival will continue until December 31.
