Bijaya Lama grounded for taking photos, videos during flight

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has directed Nepal Airlines to immediately stop assigning flights to its pilots Bijaya Lama and Soni Rana after they were found violating flight operation rules.

According to CAAN, both pilots were seen taking photos and videos while operating an aircraft, an act strictly prohibited under aviation safety protocols. The authority has sent a formal letter to Nepal Airlines instructing that neither pilot be rostered for any flights until further notice.

Following the directive, Lama and Rana have been grounded and will not be permitted to fly pending additional investigation.
