Cloudy weather to persist for three more days

KATHMANDU: The sky is expected to remain mostly cloudy across various parts of Nepal until Tuesday, with the possibility of light rain in certain regions of Bagmati Province, according to Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane.

Currently, a low-pressure system is partially affecting the country’s atmosphere, interacting with high-pressure zones in the upper layers and the eastern region of the lower atmosphere.

“Due to this system, the hilly and mountainous areas are likely to experience cloudy conditions over the next few days, along with light rain and snowfall in some locations,” Lamichhane said.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast generally cloudy skies tonight in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while other regions are expected to be partially cloudy.

Light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder is expected in parts of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two locations in Bagmati Province.
