Pedestrian dies after being hit by motorcycle



HETAUDA: A pedestrian has died after being struck by a motorcycle at Karra Chowk, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, Makawanpur, along the East-West Highway.

The victim, 55-year-old Khuili Dom, a resident of Naguwa, Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, Parsa, and currently living in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, succumbed to her injuries last night.

The motorcycle (Na 38 Pa 5850), traveling from Pashupatinagar toward Hetauda Bazaar, hit her, according to the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati.

Dom, who was critically injured in the accident, died while receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital. Police have seized the motorcycle and taken the driver into custody, and further investigation is ongoing.
