Government to hold discussion with political parties and Gen-Z representatives



KATHMANDU: The government is set to hold a discussion with political parties and representatives of the ‘Gen-Z’ group for the first time as part of its ongoing consultations to create a favorable environment for elections.

A tripartite meeting involving the government, political parties, and Gen-Z representatives has been scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel said the joint meeting has been organized to build momentum for the upcoming elections. He added that the government has been holding rounds of discussions with political parties and stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of the polls.

Earlier, on Kartik 4, the government had held a meeting with political parties at the call of Prime Minister Sushila Karki, where all sides had expressed commitment to holding the elections on time by creating the necessary environment.

According to Minister Kharel, the government has been moving forward with all necessary preparations in coordination with the Election Commission, which has already begun its work to facilitate the election process.
