NRB announces Tuesday’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 140.90, while the selling rate stands at Rs 141.50.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one European euro are Rs 163.99 and Rs 164.69, respectively. One UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 187.98 for buying and Rs 188.78 for selling, while one Swiss franc trades at Rs 177.05 for buying and Rs 177.81 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar have been fixed at Rs 92.37 and Rs 92.76, respectively, while one Canadian dollar stands at Rs 100.82 and Rs 101.24. Likewise, one Singapore dollar trades at Rs 108.69 for buying and Rs 109.15 for selling.

Similarly, for Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.23 and the selling rate Rs 9.26. One Chinese yuan trades at Rs 19.83 (buying) and Rs 19.91 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 37.57 (buying) and Rs 37.73 (selling), while the Qatari riyal trades at Rs 38.66 and Rs 38.82, respectively.

According to the NRB, the buying and selling rates for other currencies are as follows: Thai baht at Rs 4.31 and Rs 4.33, UAE dirham at Rs 38.36 and Rs 38.52, Malaysian ringgit at Rs 33.47 and Rs 33.61, South Korean won (per 100) at Rs 9.84 and Rs 9.88, Swedish kronor at Rs 15.02 and Rs 15.09, and Danish kronor at Rs 21.96 and Rs 22.05.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 18.14 and the selling rate Rs 18.22. Similarly, the Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 459.60 (buying) and Rs 461.56 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 373.76 and Rs 375.36, and the Omani rial at Rs 365.96 and Rs 367.52. The rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The NRB has stated that exchange rates are subject to revision as needed, and that commercial banks may set slightly different rates. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
