‘Traffic walk’ held in Kathmandu to promote road safety awareness

KATHMANDU: The Valley Traffic Police Office and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police jointly organized a ‘Traffic Walk’ today (Sunday) aimed at raising awareness about road safety during the festive season.

The rally began from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office in Ranipokhari, with participants carrying various awareness placards. It concluded at the Valley Traffic Police Office, where the program transitioned into a formal ceremony.

Officials said the campaign was focused on promoting safe travel, alert driving, and collective responsibility during the Dashain and Tihar festivals, when road traffic increases significantly.
