Speaker holding talks with chief whips of major parties



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire is set to hold discussions with chief whips of the three major political parties on Saturday morning.

According to the Speaker’s Secretariat, the meeting is scheduled for 10:30 am at his office in the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

The discussions are expected to focus on the current political situation, including the ongoing obstruction of parliamentary proceedings by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Speaker Ghimire is also planning a separate meeting with the chief whip of the RSP later in the day, as the party has its own parliamentary meeting at 9 am.
