HoR: Budget bills and citizenship amendment on agenda



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to take place today at 11:00 AM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s session will primarily focus on the passage of key budget-related bills. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is expected to present the ‘Economic Bill, 2082’ and the ‘National Debt Collection Bill, 2082’ for approval.

Additionally, the ‘Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2082′ is also on the agenda for discussion and possible passage, informed Padam Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Today’s meeting may also include a briefing by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding his upcoming visit to Spain. The Prime Minister is set to lead the Nepali delegation to the United Nations’ Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, which is being held in Spain.
