Nepal Rastra Bank announces today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Saturday), with most major currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, and Australian dollar, showing a decline.

The US dollar, along with the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars, also recorded a drop in value on Friday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is NPR 136.47, while the selling rate is NPR 137.07. This continues the downward trend observed in recent days.

On Friday, the dollar was trading at NPR 136.84 for buying and NPR 137.44 for selling.

Similarly, the euro is being traded today at a buying rate of NPR 159.90 and a selling rate of NPR 160.60, slightly down from Friday’s rates of NPR 160.14 and NPR 160.84, respectively.

The pound sterling has also declined, with today’s buying rate at NPR 187.39 and selling rate at NPR 188.22, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 187.61 and NPR 188.44.

Likewise, the Australian dollar is trading at NPR 89.20 for buying and NPR 89.60 for selling, a slight decrease from Friday’s rates of NPR 89.41 and NPR 89.80.

The Kuwaiti dinar has dropped to NPR 446.22 for buying and NPR 448.28 for selling, down from NPR 447.67 and NPR 449.64, respectively.

Similarly, the Bahraini dinar is being traded at NPR 361.75 for buying and NPR 363.34 for selling, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 362.75 and NPR 364.34.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates are subject to change as necessary. It has also stated that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the most up-to-date information can be found on the central bank’s official website.
