New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters arriving in Kathmandu today



KATHMANDU: New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon for a two-day official visit to Nepal.

Upon arrival, Peters will pay separate courtesy calls on President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, according to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Later in the evening, he will hold bilateral talks with Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba. A joint press conference is planned following the talks.

To conclude the day, Minister Rana will host a dinner in honor of Deputy Prime Minister Peters.

The visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore areas of cooperation between Nepal and New Zealand.
