HoR meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to take place today at 11 a.m.

Tuesday’s session was adjourned without proceeding to the regular agenda due to protests by opposition parties. The Federal Parliament Secretariat has released a tentative agenda for today’s meeting.

According to the agenda, Ramhari Khatiwada, Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will present the committee’s report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel is also scheduled to present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2081/82.

The meeting will further include a proposal for clause-wise discussion and endorsement of the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082.

Additionally, Kusumdevi Thapa, Chairperson of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, will present the committee’s Annual Report for 2082.

The session also allocates time for ministers to respond to oral questions related to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Health and Population, according to Federal Parliament Secretary General Padma Prasad Pandey.
