Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the updated foreign currency exchange rates for today (Wednesday), showing mixed movements in major currencies.

The value of the US dollar, British pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar has increased, while currencies such as the euro and Australian dollar have slightly declined.

As per today’s rate, the buying price of one US dollar is NPR 136.24, and the selling price is NPR 136.84. On Tuesday, the buying rate was NPR 135.84, and the selling rate was NPR 136.44.

Similarly, the euro is trading lower today. The buying rate of one euro is NPR 154.57, and the selling rate is NPR 155.25, compared to NPR 154.59 and NPR 155.27 yesterday.

The British pound has slightly appreciated. The buying rate is NPR 184.56, and the selling rate is NPR 185.38, up from yesterday’s NPR 184.19 (buying) and NPR 185.00 (selling).

Likewise, the Australian dollar has weakened. Today’s buying rate is NPR 87.84 and the selling rate is NPR 88.23. On Tuesday, the rates stood at NPR 88.41 and NPR 88.80 respectively.

The Kuwaiti dinar continues to rise. Today’s buying rate is NPR 444.23, and the selling rate is NPR 446.19, compared to yesterday’s NPR 443.27 (buying) and NPR 445.20 (selling).

The Bahraini dinar also edged up, with today’s buying rate at NPR 361.39 and selling rate at NPR 362.98. On Tuesday, the buying and selling rates were NPR 360.32 and NPR 361.91, respectively.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be adjusted at any time based on market needs. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
