Weather to remain partly to generally cloudy today



KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the influence of western and local winds, along with air carrying water vapor from the Bay of Bengal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division.

The Division has stated that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy across the country on Monday afternoon.

Light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, is expected in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in parts of the hilly areas of Lumbini and Karnali provinces. There may also be isolated rain showers in other regions.

In the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, light rain and snowfall are possible. Additionally, heavy rainfall could occur in one or two places in Koshi province.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with isolated rainfall in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces.

There is also a chance of light rainfall and snowfall in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi province.
