KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign exchange rates for Monday.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 136.43, while the selling rate stands at NPR 137.03.
For the euro, the buying rate is NPR 155.05 and the selling rate is NPR 155.73. The British pound sterling is being bought at NPR 181.66 and sold at NPR 182.46.
Similarly, the buying and selling rates for the Swiss franc are NPR 164.80 and NPR 165.53, respectively.
The Australian dollar is being traded at NPR 87.26 for buying and NPR 87.64 for selling.
The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 98.46 and a selling rate of NPR 98.89. For the Singapore dollar, the buying rate is NPR 103.73 and the selling rate is NPR 104.19.
The central bank has also fixed the rate for other major currencies. The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.49, and the selling rate is NPR 9.54.
One Chinese yuan is being bought at NPR 18.72 and sold at NPR 18.80. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of NPR 36.37 and a selling rate of NPR 36.53, while the Qatari riyal is listed at NPR 37.42 for buying and NPR 37.59 for selling.
Likewise, the Thai baht is being traded at NPR 4.07 (buying) and NPR 4.08 (selling), the UAE dirham at NPR 37.14 (buying) and NPR 37.31 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 31.19 (buying) and NPR 31.33 (selling).
In addition, the buying rate for 100 South Korean won is NPR 9.49, with the selling rate at NPR 9.53. The Swedish krona is being bought at NPR 14.09 and sold at NPR 14.15, while the Danish krone is traded at NPR 20.77 (buying) and NPR 20.86 (selling).
The exchange rate for one Hong Kong dollar is NPR 17.59 for buying and NPR 17.66 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is listed at NPR 444.90 (buying) and NPR 446.86 (selling).
The Bahraini dinar is being traded at NPR 361.88 for buying and NPR 363.47 for selling, and the Omani rial at NPR 354.82 (buying) and NPR 356.38 (selling).
For the Indian currency, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is NPR 160.00, while the selling rate is NPR 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates are subject to change at any time, depending on market conditions.
Additionally, commercial banks may offer slightly different rates based on open market dynamics.
