PM calls emergency cabinet meeting amidst royalist violence



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers following escalating violence linked to the royalist protests organized by the Joint People’s Movement Committee.

The cabinet meeting, set for 8 pm on Friday, aims to address the growing unrest as royalist supporters engage in violent activities across Kathmandu, including arson and attacks on political party offices.

A minister’s secretariat informed Khabarbah about the urgent meeting, which is expected to discuss immediate actions to curb the violence and restore order in the capital.
