Violence escalates in Tinkune as royalist protesters set fire to locals belongings

KATHMANDU: The royalist demonstration in Tinkune, Kathmandu, has spiraled into chaos as protesters resorted to vandalism and arson on Friday.

Amid clashes with security forces, demonstrators took belongings from local homes and burned them on the streets.

The Raj Bhavan in Tinkune was also vandalized, and a nearby house was set on fire.

The situation deteriorated as leaders who had left the main protest site failed to control the crowd. The protesters have since engaged in widespread destruction, defying police efforts to restore order.
